Connecting an External Switch
Connecting an External Switch
When you need extra switch ports, you can purchase an external switch
that you will connect to your FG-750 unit.
If you are working with a Fiber Guardian remote OTAU, all the information
regarding this switch is available in this documentation. However, for other
models of external switches, if you need information on the connection
procedures, the location of the various ports, or the configuration of the IP
address, refer to the documentation that came with your switch.
WARNING
To avoid serious injuries, always follow all the connection and
safety instructions provided with your external switch.
If you are working with a Fiber Guardian remote OTAU, see Safety
Information on page 15 and Getting Started with Your Fiber
Guardian on page 23.
CAUTION
To avoid damaging your unit, use only external switches approved
by EXFO with it.
